  • Yes gismo, he does have to offer paypal. Not only that, but Paypal is the only option. You are not allowed to accept any other form of payment or your listing won't get through. I had to remove accept cheque etc from my listing before it got through.

You obviously understood my drift about feedback..I thought if it was only a few, or he had just joined for a wii, to just start again with a new ID..but obviously not.

i agree thats what i put in prev post

but i have sold some and not always used paypal as somepeople collected as they where near me but they paid cash another did a bank transfer as they can see my feedback and pure account but thats up to them too trust if in doubt

always pay paypal underno cirumstances pay transfer or cheque because ebay quite stated papypal only so if you pay cheque bank transfer and dont recv the goods and complain too ebay they will not entertain you.

like wise if the buyer has not offered you pay pal do not go ahead with the transaction if he leaves you bad feedback contact ebay and im sure they will sort it if you explain whats happened are they will agree 10000% with you as they made up the ruling

with regard to the posts a little earlier in this thread - my nephew has bid on and won a Wii from an ebayer who is only accepting bank transfer. Is this not allowed then? Should he pay or not?

theres nothing wrong with bank transfer, its leaves solid paper trail therfore if anything does go wrong you have proof of payment and the seller is easily traced by the bank. within europe (esp germany) bank transfers are the primary method of payment.

a lot of sellers prefer BT as paypal not only take a massive cut but they sometimes hold sellers to ransom with ridiculous rules and regulations

if the seller has good positive feedback and has sold before then theres nothing wrong with BT.
