Plugged it all in, made my first Mii and just put in the Wii Sports disk. The game wont load and now the disk wont eject!

Any ideas on what I can try next to a) get the game working and b)a way of ejecting the disk

When I bought mine last year I had similar problems. Have you got the Wii upright or flat? I had mine upright and I reset it and it worked fine. It kept doing it so I now have it laying down and it dosen't happen now. I would have thought they would have sorted this problem by now. I was offered a new console but it was so much hassle I didn't bother as it does work flat.

IT is upright at the moment but ill try it in the horizontal position. Ill leave it for a bit so it can settle down and leet you know if it works.

IF it doesnt do I contact Amazon.de direct for a replacement?

I've just my Wii from Amazon.de and purchased a Euro Converter Plug from Maplin. Does it matter which way around the pins go into the plug ? just thinking about live/neutral , don't want to blow my new Wii up !

My first post but wanted to help people who are struggling to find Wii's for Christmas.

Location: www.bol.com ( dutch website but fairly straightforward)
Quantity: unknown loads
Cost: Euros 249.99 ( £178)+ euros 15 p&p (10.70)

You need a plug adapter but these can be bought easily anywhere european to english and delivery took us less than a week.

Doing it in the horizontal position hasnt made any difference. Ive just emailed Amazon.de about this and await their reply.

I shouldnt have to pay the return postage costs should I? Its not my fault ive been supplied with faulty goods! Ill let you all know what happens.

I ordered from Amazon.de on Sunday 4th. The delivery date was estimated for the 19th - 23th, however I received a despatch email on the 6th and it was delivered this morning.

Thanks to whoever suggested Amazon.de in the first place.

I've just had a confirmation from Komplett.co.uk for my order of a wii console plus Sports for £199. They expect stock tomorrow (just two unfortunately) but it's worth a shot.

On a two pin plug there aren't specific live and neutral conductors, so it doesn't really matter which way round you connect them (just make sure one's to live and one's to neutral).
None of the wii's have an earth wire on them, they're what's called "double insulated" which means there are no exposed parts which could possibly become live. So as long as you don't take the thing apart while it's still plugged in and poke about inside, you're ok.

hm71 - can you tell me exactly how I contact amazon.de in English!! I have had a look at 'my account' and can't see what I need to click? I wanted to get a tracking number too!! I ordered on Sun 4th, had a dispatch email on 6th, but it mentions the german post not DHL, and I just wondered how long it would be!?
