This might be a daft question but bearing in mind the availability of the wii on the French and German Amazon sites does anyone know if it is readily available in shops in those countries? We were thinking of doing a day trip to France to stock up on cigs etc before christmas anyway so were wondering if we were likely to be able to pick up a wii whilst there.

Dixons is a bit of a hit and miss I managed to secure one last week and it is being delivered in a couple of days, but I know that they take orders and then say not in stock.
I would keep trying but not depend on them.
You have to wait for the third email (which I recieved) to find out if you are actualy going to get it.
I am still on the look out for more for other family members who want them,so the search goes on.

So I'm guessing I just missed out but have a pre-order? Hopefully my deliery date will change once they have more stock in.

You really have to be quick and limited to only one per person.
I have a couple of programs running to alert me with sight and sound (had to run upstairs) soon as a change occurs. Some of my wider family have asked me to grab them (at cost price) if I can.

I've not received a third email but I checked my bank account and the 'available balance' has been reduced by the amount. Surely they can't take your money then tell you they won't be sending it? Hopefully I will get the third email. Anyone had any experience of this?
