If a card is left it usually says card is left.

Refused delivery is just that. The person answering the door said they didn't order it and would not sign for it.

Perhaps they went to the wrong address?

Yes I was in a bit of a panic last night and then penny suddenly dropped after I had posted, I found a number for the local depot and spoke to someone at 11pm last night, explained what I think had happened and he said he would try and find the parcel and put a note on it for the driver for monday that it was the wrong town. Now I dont know if that has been done but today I went to the same numbered house and road name in the next town where I think it was delivered as its happened before, not for years though. The person who lives there was not there so had written out a letter to her explaining the whole situation and asked that if they try and deliver to her again on monday then to tell then where it should have been delivered or if she was happy to, to sign for it and I would collect it from her.

What a nightmare!, and ive got a separate order of Wii play and extra nunchuk coming from the same company so it could happen again !

It also means that the carrier refused it somewhere along the way at one of the depots because it was damaged in transit. I've had this before I'm afraid.

The carrier hasnt refused it, its definately gone out in the van and tried to be delivered but to the wrong address, thats why it was refused as the note on the DHL tracking website said "refused because goods not ordered" which is the comment from the person who opened the door on the delivery driver.
