Do Wiis from DE/FR really come with a 2 yr warranty???

Wonder if you'd be able to send it for repair to Nintendo UK and whether they'd homour this?

you know, i was nervous about doing this and ordering from germany. we have had our wii since june, and i got one for my aunt from game last week, but a friend has also been looking for one and so i told her about amazon.de. she asked me to do it for her and i am gobsmacked how easy it was, and actually cheaper than they cost here too. well pleased for her.

my advice to anyone pondering, DO IT!!!

Yes! As long as it's in good nick. A Wii with 1 controller and sports games = £180 (normally, not at present). Play game + one controller is approx £35 - then you've got two other games...

Plus - where else would you get one without the hassle?

my local ones used to put them aside for you but after they were threatened with their throats slashed last week they by an angry customer who didnt get one they decided to drop that policy

Fantastic! Nintendo must be chuffed to bits - that is just the sort of news they want getting out. It shows how desperate parents must be to get their hands on THE toy for Xmas.
I fully expect Nintendo to flood the shops a couple of weeks before Xmas and clean up.

I don't think so, people have been saying this for almost 12 months now! They're going to get harder and harder to find in run up to xmas.

Until a few weeks ago there were wiis everywhere - almost every shop had signs up saying "Wiis now in stock". Then they all disappeared again. I personally have no doubt this is exactly the same as Sony's "boat stuck in the Suez Canal" con when they launched the slimline PS2.
