BT Broadband spoof comms mail?

Anyone else had this? - mail was sent to my husband whose name is different to mine and who has never been the account holder. It talks about wi-fi and BT Fon and contains several links which I guess are designed to get login details. It looks authentic and signed by Warren Buckley who I know is a real person in BT customer service. It says "BT own all '@btcomms.com' addresses, but they're operatedby planning-inc (an approved BT supplier)."
I decided against ringing 150 as didn't want to get the famous BT shunt. If it hadn't been in my husband's email I would have thought it was one of the genuine regular broadband updates.
BT authorised MSE rep: If you tell me this is genuine I want to know how you got my husband's details!!!

The fact that the name differs from the account holder would be a big clue.
It is easy to spoof the sender of an email so it appears to come from the correct sender.
So even though btcomms.com does appear to be a genuine BT mailbox:

.. if I had your email address, I could send you an email which seems to come from yourself.
I'd suggest you forward it over to BT perhaps using their online contact form, as they might well be interested in seeing if this potential scam is widespread so they can inform their customers that it is going on.0 -
