Help with data allowance on my new smartphone, when using BT FON
Just got myself a new smatphone on a 2 year contract with Tesco mobile.
I wanted to know if anyone can help me?
I don't ever want to go over my 1gb data allowance on my new smartphone so I just want to know what my monthly data allowance is from BT if I use BT FON which I recently downloaded to my phone from the android market. I'm on option 3 if that helps?
I tried phoning BT and also going on web to no avail.
Sorry if this has been asked before (I didn't spot it) I need to know the answer as I'm a heavy interent user when out and about and just want to know if they give me 2gb or 3 or maybe more, just for peace of mind really and so I never go over the data allowance they give me (can't see me doing that but you never know)
Thanks in advance for any replies, really appreciated...

There is no limit when using BTFON or Openzone, that is why they do not show a figure used anymore (it used to be 500mins) , make sure the data is switched off when not needed as your bundled data will still reduce, saying that once the novelty has worn off, you will find 500mb/month on your contract is more than plenty enough.0

The only issue with BTFon is they are in peoples homes, so your not likely to find them when out and about.
Openzone has more spots in the places you are likely to be.0 -
Thanks for the replies.
500mins? think that was supposed to be 500MB if not, not sure how that relates to this question.
Forgot about Openzone thanks, main reason BTFon is good for me is cause my hubby is sometimes on the wii fit+ in the living-room (computer is in another room) he likes me to be there with him so he can sometimes talk with me, but its boring watching someone else just do that, so playing games on my phone and browsing the web eases the boredom lol
Last question, does the phone automatically use BT over my tescos 1gb of data usage when I have logged into BTFon..Matthew, Izzy, Suzie, Harry, Darwin. My husband my cats, the main things that matter in my life...0 -

OP I am signed up to BTFON etc, as said originally, on the package you are on, you got 500 wifi minutes, now there is no time limit (the speed is limited anyway).
Maybe you may have misunderstood how FON and Openzone works, if as you say you are at home, then you just log into the router as normal (routers can handle several connections similtaneously). FON and Openzone allow access when out and about, FON for residential areas and Openzone for commercial areas like shopping centres, airport, motorway service stations etc.
Once you have opted in, then you can connect to wifi whilst out and about.
Where as none subscribers get invited to buy data allowance on openzone.0
