I would like to nominate Jenny Wren if possible for offering up her reserved Nintendo Wii. (The fact that she gave it to me is immaterial so far as I am concerned.) She could have cashed in, bought it and sold it at a profit as so many have done. She could have just let the reservation lapse. Instead she went to the trouble of offering it up to a stranger who she knew was desperate for one, and asked nothing in return.
That is, for me, what the spirit of these forums is all about. £50 would be a great start towards her Wii fund!0 -
I second the vote for Jenny Wren.
Seems like an amazing person!"People fear what they don't understand and hate what they can't conquer"0 -
I'd like to nominate Taxi73 for her thread "I'm going to be loaded now..wow" http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=342412
Not only really inspirational to DFWs but also full of great reminders of all the small things we can do that add up to huge savings.

Strepsy wrote:I would like to nominate Prudent for her idea for a Competition Challenge in 2007. Thread here. The idea is to win back your internet cost in prizes through online competitions. It's a really achievable goal that everyone can have a go at and it helps the supportive atmosphere which is so nice on the competitions forum. Well done Prudent, it's such a great idea. Prudent always posts lots of competitions and is always happy for everyone's wins so I would like to see her win this.
I would like to nominate Prudent also! It was a lovely suggestion and the support offered and general good feeling it has created on the Competitions board has been amazing!0 -
I want to nominate pixie for her 'how much have we paid off in 2006' thread on DFW because of how remarkable it's become, with a collective total of over 1.4MILLION paid off by DFW's in 06.

I'd like to nominate nickm122's "Things You Never Thought You Could Sell" thread - good for our pockets and for reducing landfill.
I'm sure I'm not the only DFW who has listed weird and wonderful items that seemed destined for the tip!Overpay!0 -
