You should never call somebody else a nerd or geek because everybody (even YOU !!!) is an
"anorak" about something whether it's trains, computers, football, shoes or celebs :p :rotfl:

It's unlikely you'll get pregnant that early in your cycle, butnot impossible. if it's too late for the morning after pill (up to 72 hours) I believe you can get a coil fitted up to 5 days (from memory) after unprotected sex. Try calling your local family planning clinic or NHS direct.

I was under the impression that a doctor will not fit a coil if there is a chance you are pregnant, as it automatically makes you abort? In fact, I'm fairly sure this is the case, as I was asked to come in to have my coil fitted when I was actually having my period, to make sure I definitely wasn't pregnant.

  • Remember that sperm stays alive inside your uterus for 10 days, so you may not have had sex on the day you ovulated but could still get pregnant as sperm can wait in your tubes for the egg to be released.
Good luck, hopefully this will be just a scare.

No, if you are too late for Morning After Pill, and don't want a child, and are suitable for the coil, then the method of choice is to fit a coil. This is after all much less invasive and traumatic for all concerned than waiting another week to make sure of the pregnancy, then carrying out a termination.
