Is it time to change my ISP?

I am with Newnet who have just upped their prices so my 18.95 package will be 21.95 from next month.
They have given me excellent cutomer service and satisfactory speeds but I find the price increase hard to swallow.

Can anyone suggest a good alternative. My usage is around 5 to 10Gb a month and I don't want an isp who uses bandwidth throttling.
I do some gaming and occasional music/movie downloads.

I have looked at adslguide & ispreview and just want some more opinions.

Also I don't not want to move to another isp who treat you like dirt with Indian call centres etc etc so no one please suggest Tiscali and the like!

Thanks.

maybe look at telewest or ntl if they are in your area, i dont think there prices are too high and they dont have a usage limit

Thanks but I am not in an NTL region so it has to come via BT exchange.

I am hoping for some specific reccomendations from people's experience.

I know how you feel. Mine has now gone from £21.95 to £35 with the higher package.
I've not found another ISP yet, but you can regrade down to a lower package for free if that helps.

Looks like you're one of the lucky ones judging by reviews here.

Not very encouraging at the moment!

Heard a lot of good things re primus and am now thinking of joining up myself. ;)
I'm NOT political so DON'T correct me!
