If it is the machine readable ones, then you are fine :)

I assume you are asking because you want to travel without a visa. The key dates are:
    - Passport issued b4 October 26, 2005 should be machine readable.
    - Issued btwn October 26, 2005 and October 25, 2006 should be machine readable and have a digital pic or a biometric chip
    - Issued from October 26, 2006 should be e-passports with a biometric chip and be machine readable.

Although, as it has been stated b4, the above passports meet just one of the many requirements for using the VWP.

If unsure, use the wizard at the US embassy site

Hmm, my passport was issued in Feb 2006 and it was machine readable with a digital photo, but not biometric, or e-passport. Also I was in the States under the VWP in September 2006 and had no problems.

Not sure what your point is - under the rules described by Kevoh your passport is valid for a trip to the US without the need for a visa as it is a) machine readable & b) had a digital picture.

If you read post 6, you'll realise he made a bit of a typo in what he wrote, and now he's amended it, so my posting doesn't make too much sense, but before the amendement it did.
