Pipex - difficulty taking payment?!

OK, have done a search on pipex on here, and I think it's fair to say I'm not the only person who's had issues with pipex "customer service" ;):p

I joined pipex in June, as they had the best speed / package at the best price - at the time, it was known their CS was quite frankly pants, but most people didn't need them, as they were technically very good......

So here we are in January........agreed it's technically a good service......but they have not yet taken a payment!! As this is a moneysaving board, I'm sure many of you are "where's the problem?!" ;) :rotfl:

Well I've tried setting up a DD countless times (we're over a dozen now :rolleyes: ), and they just can't process this......I've done the phone thing, but now do it by email, as at least this way there's a written record of what they "promise".

Does anyone have an email address other than <customerservices@pipex.net> , as this gets you nowhere fast?

Has anyone else had similar issues, and does anyone have any advice?! If anyone has had similar issues with another service provider, I'd be interested to hear about it too (in case there's something else I can do that might work!! :o )

    I would suggest you try posting your question here http://bbs.adslguide.org.uk/postlist.php?Cat=&Board=pipex This is the Pipex forum on ADSLGuide so has lots of other Pipex customers on there, maybe someone will have had a similar problem or may know an alernative email address

    Haha, am I one of the people you've come accross?

    I hate pipex, but have found myself ropped into a new 12 month contract with them!!! I put in an order to cancel my broadband at address a, and move to address b on November 16th! I made 6 phone calls to customer services between that date and December 30th to see why it hadnt been connected! I got told a different story every call, but on the last one, was told that the order had been cancelled for address a, and an order was pending to connect the broadband, TO ADDRESS A!!! :mad: I was fuming! I got the guy at CS to change the order there and then, and he promised it would be up and running in a week (its not BTW, cos its next monday - 9 days) this meant thought that I had to enter into a 12 monther which i werent happy about, but said if i had 2 months free with them i'd do it, since thats roughly what i lost out on and dont want to lose any more money! yes the service itself is fine, but what a bunch of muppets. It now aspires that the phone line at address a (mums address) which was separate from the broadband as i paid for that, they paid for phone, has also been cancelled by the idiots at pipex and my mum is now without a phone line, all cos of them divs!!!

    She's rung them and the unhelpful muppet she spoke to said it 'may be' because of this reason, and they'll investigate, only thing is, it'll take 72 HOURS to find the problem!!

    I've complained to ofcom about them before but heard nothing back, so might make a phone call to them if thats a possibility cos something must be done about this company! they really are taking the pith with their customers and have to have a good kick up the aris to srt themselves out in my view!

    One very unhappy customer, who now has another 12 months to go with them (would have cancelled, but since i was still in ciontract, i would have had to pay for the privelage, on top of paying for 2 months internet i hadnt used!!)
