sky staff attitude

having recently contacted sky re my bill and asked them to cut my service due to financial restrictions at the moment. I was advised by them that they dont't offer anybody packages at a reduced price and have never done this so basically everbody who has posted threads on this page saying this are according to them making it up also told by an agent in their call centre that I was the type of customer that Sky didn't want and this was confirmed by a manager in the complaint dept when i according to them have the nerve to complain about his attitude.

Sky are not some form of community support group, they are a business, they simply want your funds and as much as they can get.

They are not your friends, if it was financially beneficial to be nice and offer good service they would do, however they have long learnt that their customers stay loyal no matter how poor the customer service.

If you get through to cancellations/retentions you can get offered a deal for a cheaper subscription fee or extra services for a period or a new box in order for them to keep your custom but this is purely at the discretion of the retentions agent you speak to. If you phone up and ask for Sky to charge you less, and expect them to do it then you're living in dreamland.

Did you ask them to downgrade you, or are you are expecting the same package at a cheaper price? If the latter, you are sadly misinformed.
What you are asking for is entirely different to a retention deal or a limited time promotion.

Ive had Sky for donkeys years and have always said the Sky customer services is excelent, every single time.

Not too long aga I rang and asked for the cancellation dept to downgrade and they gave me £15 off my subscription for 3 months.

Hi, i would call them back and ask to speak to a manager with your info - you will hopefully get a better response, thanks
  • Just cancel, they will more than likely call you within a few weeks with an offer.
    According to ABBA apparently it's a rich mans' world . . .:p
