I thought you were offering affiliate links, not competitions & contests?
How much will companies pay to promote themeselves through other peoples Facebook pages/groups? I know that you can generate income via affiliate links, but I want to create a Facebook campaign that puts companies right at the heart of it. To narrow down my question further, how much can I expect to recieve from businesses promoting their products/services if I have 10,000, 30,000, 50,000 or 100,000+ followers?

Also, companies can do this already directly with Facebook.

Regardless of FB rules, If you are running any sort of sweepstake or anything even remotely close to gambling, even without costs or for charity, I suggest you check out these licence fees...

The link is also a wealth of information that you really would need to research fully to make sure you were not doing something illegal that would be subject to an enormous fine. It really doesn't matter if you consider it to not be gamblng... it is what they say that counts.

To invest in those licences at those prices, you have to be REALLY confident you are going to succeed imho!

no, you are getting it all wrong. I can't give away what I plan to do in case someone steals it. But I basically plan to create a page (not my existing profile page) where I will run sweepstakes and contests which will create the intial following. I aim to integrate brands onto my page once I have generated a big enough following. Having thousands of people coming to my page which promotes company brands must be worth something, surely? It won't be your typical (leave a comment below and you get entered into a competition), it has much more of a twist than that.

You will be very limited in the companies that would be interested as your page isn't going to be targeted at their clients specifically as you sound like you are just luring people to the page with competitions or whatever.

Yes you may get 10k or even a million followers but there may only be a small % of people who are even remotely interested in the product offered by the company you are charging to advertise on your page.

The appeal to a company would be very low therefore the price they would likely be willing to pay would be very low. You may do well off new companies who think it will draw in lots of business but in likelyhood it will be no better than your local police magazine!! It doesn't sound like your offering anything a company couldn't do themselves, i.e start a page specfic to them offering discounts/prizes or whatever to people who actually want or like the services/products offered by that business.
Everyones opinion is the most important.....no wonder nothing is ever agreed on.

Why not set up a webpage and fill it with words and affiliate links from companies like buy.at or affiliate window? At least these affiliate linking sites will pay you money when someone buys something after clicking on a link. It makes more sense than faffing around with Facebook.

that would not make any money. There are lots of those sites. How do you suggest she/he drives traffic.

I know a few people who have created such sites and have links with buyat and affiliate window, they have set up sites around things that people need eg. valentine gifts etc and they blog and include keywords in their blogs. Keywords are the words that people use to search for things on the internet as long as you don't mention the affiliate company directly by name or use the company name in your keywords then you get people visit and the more they visit the more they buy. They make money whilst they are asleep. Don't knock it until you have tried it.

There's already a free page driving traffic to people's business pages on facebook. In fact there's a main page and several other regional pages. It's very successful with almost 13.000 likers so you'd be hard pushed to compete with that unless you were offering something better.

I have also been looking at this recently http://www.thesocialnetworkingacademy.com/public/department34.cfm

which is helping me understand all about Facebook pages.

In one of the videos she say that if you get 10,000 likes then Facebook can take over your page so check it out carefully before spending money.

If anyone is like me these videos are only a few minutes long and are free. Finally I am making sense of Facebook. lol
