National Rail Season Tickets

When searching on the season ticket calculator on national rail's website I am asked to enter a from and to station. I currently think that it will be cheaper to get a train from Maidstone West to New Hythe than driving.

But can anyone please tell me, does a season ticket include the return journey, or can it only be used in one direction? Hence I'd need to season tickets?

Thanks.

As above... and you can also get on and off at Maidstone Barracks and Aylesford whenever you like.
  • A season ticket also includes journeys between intermediate stations, so you can use it at the weekend to go shopping in Aylesford.

You speak to the nice man saying "please let me through the barrier".

Neither of the intermediate stations on the OP's route has barriers. ;)

Provided you're on a station in-between the stations printed on your ticket you'll be fine.

I commute from Kent to London everyday, I can use my season ticket to get on or off at any stations in-between.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW thanks for that. I never knew. I thought I could b fined on the spot if I did that.

mind u my ST does say 'between' and my old ones from 2008 never used to say that.

It will if the barriers have been programmed for the break-of-journey for that route.

Most ordinary train tickets are also valid for break-of-journey.

If the barriers haven't been programmed you show it to the charming young assistant.
