Free Sky continues

Is anyone else in the same position as myself ?
I was automatically offered a free movie channel upgrade (I did not request it) - 6 weeks ago - due to expire on 1st August - but I still have access to ALL movie channels ...

Weird or what ?

You have missed my point - this was an "automatic upgrade" - I did not request it - so why should I pay a penny for a Sky mistake ?

It's only 2 days over the cut-off point...
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

Have you checked the terms of the 'automatic upgrade'?

I bet somewhere in them it says 'if you don't cancel this upgrade, we will continue it and charge it to your bill'.

Mr Murdoch didn't get where he is by giving away free movies, or even forgetting about who they've given them to.

One thing is for certain - you WILL be getting a bill from Sky.

You'll be charged sure as eggs is eggs, you also have to give 30 days notice of any cancellation.
That gum you like is coming back in style.
  • I'd agree with Penrhyn here - Sky are Sly and will charge you for that, plus the 31 days notice you have to give to cancel a subscription. Call them immediately if you don't want to risk having to pay out.
  • Posters on other forums on this offer have reported the movies switched off today.
  • I was in a similar position. Mine was switched off today.

Same here. I was paying for one of the Movie packs but had been able to access all movie channels (except, strangely, any movies previously saved to my planner from channels not in my current pack). In any case, the pack I'm not paying for was switched off overnight.
