Just noticed online that its £5.99 great bargain for those with newborns as locally i was paying arounf £9ish per tin.

They did used to do the toddler milk at this price to but that seems to have gone and the sma gold on there instead........ although i always thought that the first infant milk could never be sold at reduced price due to wanting to promote breastfeeding ????

Noticed this and stocked up as we've been paying 8.99 a tin everywhere else. I noticed that the ones from the supermarket are 'new', they have the lip inside the tin to level off the scoops, and a leaflet which says 'what's new' on it whereas the ones from Home Bargains are the old tins without this, so maybe that's why they can sell them at a lower price? Also means they might just be clearing the old stock to replace with the new ones so might not be selling them for long, even though they're dated next for next year so might be a good idea to grab them while you can.
D'you know, in 900 years of space and time, I've never met anyone who wasn't important

Apologises if someone has already posted but in in local HB today I found various ex M&S valentines cards for 39p, they had husband, wife, and then quite a few unisex ones that had £3.75 - £2.50 original price stickers on them.

Penny Lane and Allerton Road today both had the Cadbury small selection packs (with 5 small bars) for 39p, and the large "stocking" type selection boxes with I think 7 full size bars? for 99p :) Stocked up on sweetie treats for my boys for a while to come! :)

A HB store opened kinda near me recently but I've never been in. Is HB just like B&M or Poundland? Sorry know that sounds like a daft question but I don't know whether to go out of the way and have a look or is it one of those places that you just get the odd bargain in?

I think it is better, it is one of those shops you have to visit to understand. It sells a wide variety of brands very cheaply as well as very good special offers.
Over the years I have got loads of good well known toys and kids books etc.
Their Nicki toilet roll is about 99p per 4 rolls and I think it is better than Andrex etc.
    Well worth a visit.

Thank you bluenose. The only things I've even managed to get in B&M were a ridged plastic microwave tray for cooking bacon and a battery operated whisk (great for making kids milkshakes). Apart from that I've not seen anything I'd waste any money on. I'm not a snob, just unlucky I guess.
