I got a lovely book with a story cd today in the Leek store as a pre christmas present called My Christmas Treasury £1.99 rrp 9.99, it has the christmas story, a childrens version of scrooge, the nutcracker and the night before christmas plus a couple of songs as well, thought it would be nice for the granddaughters to snuggle up to in the week before christmas.whoever said laughter was the best medicine has clearly never tasted wine

At Home Bargains in Gateshead Anton Berg chocolates , apricot in brandy £2. 49 and I think the other one was plum in madeira £1.99. I looked to see if they were smaller boxes as they sell for £4 + in Fenwicks . They're exactly the same .0

I was also dithering over a game by Hasbro called Girl Talk Sparkle Spots - in the end at £1.99 I thought it looked like fun for a sleepover or for when a few friends are over. I don't think it's something that will be used again and again. Thought it might make a good party gift too when you don't know what to buy!

Chelmsley Wood had thermal base layers in this morning in both child and adult sizes. The childrens ones were £3.49 each piece (top and leggings) and they had a good range of sizes S M L XL - XL fitted age 9/10 I think. I have bought one for my son for football - will test it on him tomorrow night and report back.0
