ICE - Collection

Hi All,

I have just used the MSE tool (Travelmoneymax) to check the best collection rate for Euros.

ICE came up as the best rate for collection, so I clicked through the link on the Travel Money tool which took me to a page where I completed my personal details and provided my email address.

I then received a message saying they will be in touch.

Can anyone who has used them before tell me if this is correct process? I thought I would be provided with an instant voucher to print and take in tomorrow.

I've explored the ICE website and I've found another section where you can arrange collection which asks for more details and allows you to book a time to collect, but in this section, it does not confirm the exchange rate.

Hope that makes sense, I'm a little confused :o

I used the Maximiser, found ice was the best rate, clicked on ice waterloo,it shows the offer rate, filled in my name, email and amount wanted, clicked print for voucher,2 pages print one shows your name and email but not the amount wanted or rate offered the other shows a map of waterloo station and ice office.
Took voucher to office, confirmed rate was the same and bought my euros.......it seems that once you have the voucher you can buy as much as you want,if the rate is the same.
The rate by pre-booking was 3 cents more than the rate in the window of the bureau.
    Political?....I dont do Political....well,not much!

sgx.saint - our e-voucher process is based on adding your contact name/email and printing the voucher off and simply bringing to the branch to benefit from the e-voucher rates. ICE Scotland you'll need to select which branch either Glasgow or Edinburgh, once you have done that you should be able to print the voucher. The voucher is valid for up to 7 days and the rates are for Euro and USD. The rate is listed daily so you can always check before you go the branch.

ICE e-Voucher branches include: Glasgow, Edinburgh, Cambridge, London branches include: Chelsea, Westfield Parade and Waterloo. Hope this helps.

    Hi,

    Thanks for the replies.

The voucher was not appearing last night when I filled in my details, I simply got a message saying 'Thank you, we'll be in touch'. However when I tried it again this morning, it did bring up a voucher, so I printed this and took it into my local ICE in Glasgow and a few minutes later exchanged my Stirling for Euros, a smooth transaction.
