Some Ryanair questions - only flown with them once before

1. Does anyone know when the Reus to either Manchester or Liverpool flights are released? I must travel on Sunday 10th June 2012.

2. I understand it is best to get a mastercard prepaid card as I will be booking 4 flights but does this mean I lose any protection I would have with a credit card?

3. All flights for say 9 - 12 months ahead seem very expensive (although I am looking at school holiday times) - do these always come down with the sales/promotions they have?

If you want the cheapest fares with Ryanair you will have to wait till 2 or 3 months before the date. Also they won't necessarily be available for the date you want as it's harder to get cheap fares on Sunday rather than midweek. If you wanted to book now you could think about flying with easyJet for £27.99 from Liverpool to Barcelona and transferring to Reus by train or bus.

I always pay with FairFx pre-paid mastercard, never have a problem, but as you say,no protection if a company fails....you get what you pay for,pay more get more..........but if they failed i would still have saved much much more than i would lose as i have flown with them hundreds of times.
    Political?....I dont do Political....well,not much!
  • I have booked my flight with Easyjet to Barcelona on Sunday 3rd June for £31.99 each with I think is brilliant for school holidays.

We are then going Cambrils later on in the week which I understand is 7 km from Reus Airport.

If we wanted to fly back from Barcelona (which is 100 km from Cambrils) we would probably have to stay at an airport hotel over night and that would be a day wasted with travelling into Barcelona and then out again to catch a flight at around 11 am in the morning.

I think we would get up at a ridiculous time to make sure we got to Barcelona Airport from Cambrils and that is why I think I will wait for the Reus flights to be released.

These are £120 each one way with Jet2 and £170 each with Thomson which is ridiculous.

I am hoping Ryanair will be a lot cheaper.
