And, as dogmaryxx said all that time ago, you should really be running KIS 2012. Here's a link for version 12.0.0.374: http://www.kaspersky.co.uk/kis_latest_versions

    Thank you all.

My computer is pretty old and slow and just about copes with the 2010 version. I thought it best not to overload it with the newer one and it was so very easy to just put in the new activation code and leave it at that.

I have been reading a lot about it today and some people have had significant problems installing 2011, which is worrying if you are not very computer literate.

As long as the 2010 version is still updating OK, I am quite happy to stay with this as it has kept my computer very well protected over the past year.

The version it is running is 9.0.0.736.

But I would be installing the 2011 version if I had used the CD that I bought instead of just using the activation code. It is the Internet Security 2011 version.

I have a Dell Dimension 5000 - over six years old.

In any case, the malware database it uses will be up-to-date whether you use 2011 or 2012. So the level of protection will be the same. All the newer version will do will add new features/better performance, etc.
