    Why did you withdraw all of the money and if you paid it into another bank account is some of it still not available to repay what you now owe Santander?

    My 2p worth yes they have the perfect right to claim back anything paid in error the fact that OP withdrew it does not come into it.

    I paid a payday loan (cash; i never pay them by card), and bought groceries. I didn't withdraw all of it and none went into another account as I was using the Santander one as my main account, and I didn't know it was wrong and was going to be taken back. I left money in to continue living off.
