Battery problems on Galaxy SII
I have had the phone for only a 2weeks now, but the phone constantly needs charging, at first I thought it was because I was constantly messing on the phone so using up alot of battery but last few days I have limited the phone to few texts and few phone calls, and it still needs charging on a daily basis. The internet is on but I havent been on it FB on anything else just kept in on because waiting for an email to come through. Is anyone else having this problem or have I just got a faulty battery??
If I'm going to have to limit my internet usage whats the point of this even though it is an amazing phone, im always having to worry about not having battery.
I used it and then drained it to nothing every time or is this wrong, because someone said that i should charge it in shorter periods of time instead.

Charge should be as needed ideal is charge at 20% left .
Its a Smartphone and a daily charge is normal .
You make no mention of what charge you are losing in a day.
The usual reason why phone drians battery is users apps and or apps connection constantly to update .
Settings about phone battery stats .
Juice Defender from the market may help .

Either you have a faulty battery or there is something wrong with the software. Mine lasts atleast a couple of days. I suggest you try and reboot the phone and see if that fixes it. Alternatively do a factory reset (Google it).
If it still persists then get the place you bought it from to replace the battery.0 -
Check for update with Kies, Mine had a update available yesterday (orange), seems better so far.
I unistalled the facebook app a while back, that seemed to help a bit with the battery.0 -
my sgs2 lasts about 18 to 24 hours on a overnight charge ,and it uses bluetooth for most of the day and about 60mins of calls,20txt,50 emails and about a hour of internet every day(3g or wifi) but it dos change each day by a few hours and i carry a car charger with me at all times

I don't have to charge my phone every day. Probably every 3 days. I use it on and off most of the day; a mixture of taking and bluetoothing photos, checking email, text messaging etc.
I guess it depends on what you're doing with it. It's the nature of these touch screen phones that it will drain battery quickly.
It's a fantastic phone though, mine's the best phone I've ever had0 -
I only just get day out of it sometimes not even that. Just been away for a week to lakes and hardly had any signal so it hardly got used apart from when I could connect to wifi in a pub/cafe, taking photos an still it never lasted all day let alone alnight to like some people are getting. Just 10 mins on angry birds takes about 15% battery! I always have brightness turned right donw0

I have a Desire HD which is known to have a poor battery. It lasts me a full day with fairly heavy usage, can last a few days with very light usage and wifi, bluetooth, etc. turned off. However I see no problem with this, I plug the phone in every night when I go to bed, I would only be bothered if it didnt last the day. Surely most people are able to plug it in when they go to bed, so why is it an issue if the battery only lasts a day.0

When you are in a pretty much "no signal" area, any phone will eat battery because it's constantly searching for it...
The stronger the signal, the less battery will be used staying connected. Now free from the incompetence of vodafail0 -
the biggest killer of battery apart from the screen will be apoor signal. If in a poor signal area then battery use will be higher as the phone constantly searches for a signal or keep switching between masts or 2g and 3g etc so battery use will be high. Getting a day on a smartphone is on par with normal on most smartphones. You can run it down in a few hours depending on how heavily you use the phone.
Think of it as a computer but with a smaller battery. How many computers with a battery the size on your phone last as long as your phone does! Your SGS2 will be faster than many netbooks.bubblesmoney :hello:0
