Virgin Mobile are changing their tariffs

Here's a bit of a head's up - Virgin are changing their mobile tarrifs quite substantially, seems to be for all existing and new customers as well (Although from a quick glance, I'm not sure if existing customers are simply able to "take advantage" of this by signing up to a new tariff, or if their tariff is being migrated):

(I can't post a direct link as I'm a "new user", sorry).
Virgin Media has re-launched its monthly mobile tariffs to enable those looking to get hold of the hottest handsets on the market to enjoy a greater range of contract options whilst still making savings on their monthly bill. With benefits now including a range of shorter 12 month contracts as well as competitive monthly texts, minutes and mobile web allowances, there has never been a better time to take advantage of a great new mobile deal.
From August, new and existing customers will be able to take advantage of standard 24 month contracts (1) as well as a new competitive range of 12 month contracts (2), providing more flexible options for those looking to stay up-to-date with the latest handset technology without being tied to a long contract.
In addition, customers can now choose from a new range of customisable extras to provide a simple way of tailoring tariffs to individual requirements. Those who like to spend time talking to friends and family can double their allowance of inclusive talk minutes for just £2 per month (3) more, whilst those who regularly access the web through their phones can upgrade to a whopping 5GB of mobile web for just £5 extra a month.
Virgin Media home phone customers looking to take a 24 month mobile contract will be able to make considerable savings by bundling these two phone services together. Virgin Media’s ‘Monthly Mobile Bonus’ deal gives customers a saving of up to £192 across their contract term. The deal which launched in April for L and XL home phone customers has now been extended to Virgin Media home phone M customers and offers the choice of any handset from the Virgin Media range on tariffs of £15.99 and above.
As always, customers with Virgin Media’s home phone, broadband or TV services continue to get exclusive additional benefits, including double the text and mobile web allowances compared to non-Virgin Media customers, as well as 3,000 Virgin Mobile to Virgin Mobile minutes and unlimited4 free calls from their home phone to Virgin Mobiles during their included free calls periods every month.
Jamie Heywood, Director of Mobile at Virgin Media said: “We are always looking for ways to help our customers to get the best value for their money. Our newly refreshed monthly mobile tariffs offer a simpler way for our customers to tailor their phone packages to suit their needs, whilst giving customers greater contract flexibility, more minutes, texts and mobile data. These tariffs will really come into their own when combined with our popular Mobile Bonus deal to give Virgin Media customers a fantastic way to save money whilst getting more from their home phone or Mobile service.”
Those looking to take advantage of any of these new offers can either call 0800 952 9874 or visit virginmedia.com for further information.
That's all very well and interesting, but I'm curious - does such a substantial change in Tariff mean that the contract you may be in is now void and you're able to leave at any time? I believe when other providers have changed their details, you could opt to leave then and there, but I don't know if this is the same thing.

I don't see anything in there about changing the conditions for existing customers - simply that the new tariffs are also available to them.
