I'm still working on the 5th puzzle but in terms of the 6th this is what I have so far:

What I think is that each number refers to the puzzle, the line and the letter. Ie 1-2-3 is the 1st puzzle; 2nd answer/line; 3rd letter. Therefore U. If we do for everything except for puzzle 5 we get the following to be arranged into three words:

This has become a tough one. Tried all the names that come in the book to help crack puzzle 5 and it's not working. had the same idea for solving puzzle six as above but again it doesn't seem to lend itself to anything. Will keep trying...

I've rattled thru the book again and there are lots of 5 letter names which could be used for puzzle 5 also some threes and sevens which would give ten on one row ie Sherman/Orr, but can't get any to fit in with the codes even using alternative letters for the names................it's too hard!

I can't solve it and I've been working on it since Wednesday am. Tried words backwards and forwards... hey not tried every other one. Will let you know....
