oh oh, I've checked and entered 2 of these comps, Guess my info is posted somewhere on the net now.

Still, nothing that you can't already find. Been doing family trees lately and it never ceases to amaze me that I can get names, marriages, dob, addresses of anyone in a few seconds if you know where to look!

The Sun was indeed hacked by a group called Lulzsec (http://www.pcr-online.biz/news/36777/Hack-compromises-The-Sun-readers-personal-data), they like to hack into websites and steal personal data for the "lulz", and it's likely they'll paste everything they've gathered here.

As well as claiming to have stolen sensitive data, the group also posted a fake story announcing that News International owner Rupert Murdoch was dead. The fake page has been archived here.

Interestingly The Sun’s sister media outlet Sky News is currently claiming the person responsible for posting the stolen information online has no allegiance to LulzSec.

I got the email too - a bit gutted. :(

Also, I received a text message yesterday from an unknown number addressing me by my name saying that it had been great to meet me...

I haven't given my number to anyone recently and they didn't respond when I replied asking when we'd met so I'm wondering if this is connected...
I received a similar text on my landline this morning. Something about Busted tickets and signing off 'great to meet you'.

I have an identity theft protection & they notified me that my mobile number is being traded on the internet so I've emailed them to ask for further info. I will obviously having worked in banking for 28 years I have always been suspicious & very careful about giving any info out by phone. These hackers are a nightmare for us compers recently, after sony's playstation network was hacked my email address was being traded on the internet but I've since changed provider so that's not a problem any more but everybody who has entered a Sun comp needs to be very wary of any calls received
