Email from the Sun - website hacked

Lots of companies have been hacked recently - ive also had the email, im going to change my password for the sun and thats really all i can do - if the hackers have any of my details there is nothing anyone can do about it now.
Its not the type of site that has my bank or credit card details so im not really worried, most details given for competitions about any of us can be found on the electroral roll etc. Anyway, i cant think of any competitions ive entered that has asked for something that couldnt be found by someone who really wanted those details and if they did ask for something more, i would probably not enter that competition, because why would they need extra personal information!0 -
Yes me too, they will send this out to everyone on their database. The only thing that 'hacks' me off re this is that this happened on the 19th July and only informing us now!I am better than no-one but no-one is better than me.0

I got the email too - a bit gutted.
Also, I received a text message yesterday from an unknown number addressing me by my name saying that it had been great to meet me...
I haven't given my number to anyone recently and they didn't respond when I replied asking when we'd met so I'm wondering if this is connected...0 -

Well the Sun was definitely hacked, cos I saw it. There is a thread on here about it. It was the day before the Murdoch's had to go before that committee.
Actually it was really funny (what the hackers wrote). It seemed more of a joke, so I wouldn't be too worried if I were you.

me too, had phone call today from someone who wanted to resolve my financial problems!!!!!!! didn't realise I had any and just hung up. Might be related to all this but then again maybe not, guess we'll just have to be on our guard which I think most of us are anyway.Bestof2013-AcerLaptop,years supply of Lindt chocolate,Family to Spain,£500,13 bottles of Wine,iPhone 5,2 night island break,Pedal Bike&Helmet,HuntersWellies,TomTomGPSWatch,3 bottlesVodka
