Cheapest deal?

I am moving houses soon and planning to live in my new place for about a year. I need an unlimited broadband for it. There is currently no phone line, so I would need either to get my own and pay for installation or go for one of those fee free Virgin deals. Assuminh I stay in that house for a year snd I need unlimited broadband, which of the current deals would represent a best value for me ove a year including all promotions, discounts etc?

P.S. Don't need any other packages, TV, Weekend calls etc. just a broadband

Tesco Broadband £19.75 per month unlimited internet including line rental and free evening/weekend calls. Also includes free caller number display. Use Quidco/Topcashback and a code to get 3 months free.

:p Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S) :p Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money. :p

The only viable and affordable ways to get broadband usable for gaming are VM cable or ADSL.

ADSL needs a landline although you don't need any call package.

Even though VM cable doesn't need a landline it pays to get it with the phone option and cancel that later - free install and half price for 6 months if you take the phone and on most packages you only save about £3 taking broadband only.

I need an unlimited broadband for it. There is currently no phone line,

If your exchange has muti isp options then :

Be* Broadband for truly unlimited with no throttling or shaping broadband which starts at £17pm for upto 12meg (£22 for upto 24meg) paired with Primus Line Rental Saver at £6.79 per month would be a good option to consider.
Both are 12 month contracts not the longer 18 which would be useful on for you time scales.

Primus charge £69 for BT openreach to come and connect a new line.

That could be be some what offset via the £30 cashback of be*broadband via you usual cash back sites.

I think sky broadband unlimted and virgin media are the only truly unlimted all the others have a fair usage terms.
  • Virgin have FUP & port thottling. :(

Sky seems to be very poplular as one of the better known ISP for un-thotted useage.
The downside is the high SNR default settings (which lowers speed) & no fastpath just interleaved .
