New Three Internet "Hi-Speed" Dongles

The reviews are very good, and I am tempted to buy one. It seems that this dongle bridges the gap between 3G and the impending 4G network i.e. it can use the new 3G+ network.

I am very happy with what I have, but I still want one of these new toys. Would it just use up the allowance much faster I wonder?

I've heard the argument that "there's no point in having fibre-optic broadband running at 100Mbps if you can use your allowance up in 3 days if it's going flat out".

But I think the argument is nonsense. Since our speeds doubled, I can't honestly say that our usage pattern has changed very much. There still aren't really many places where you can download movies legitimately and I don't have the connectors required to get e.g. Windows Media Centre onto our TV and we don't watch much iPlayer stuff on the laptop.

I think if we had that then we might watch more online stuff, but until then and unless you want to do that, and five meg still isn't really all that quick, it just means that what you do download comes down much quicker.
