Vodafone Insurance

Uh no, if that is the case then Vodafone are breaking the law. The insurance has to be a suitable recommendation. If the customer states they do not want the insurance and they add it on anyway, this is illegal. If this is the official standpoint of Vodafone then perhaps I should forward on the details of this post onto the FSA and see what their standpoint is?Have I helped? Feel free to click the 'Thanks' button. I like to feel useful (and smug).

Credit where credit is due - all being well Heidi has sorted this to my satisfaction.
And if for any reason she hasn't, I will be contacting her again!
Thanks Heidi
What a surprise. It has NOT been sorted and is now worse than it was.
Heidi has made it worse and caused us yet more unnecessary time and expense.
Credit where credit is due... but also blame where blame is due.
Heidi, perhaps you would like to take a look at my account notes and contact me again. I will be emailing you separately.
I am now furious instead of just cross.
MissKeith - go right ahead. PM me if you need to.0 -
Why you would stay with a company that lies to you and constantly fails to carry out what you have asked them to, despite assuring you that they have is beyond me. I couldnt wait to leave vodafail after many issues which took months to sort out and reading on many forums I am certainly not the only one who had many problems with them. So many people seam to think it isnt worth leaving because of the hassle... all thats involved is an email requesting your PAC, then find another deal with another network and give them your PAC. Simples...
I bought a desire HD and changed to giffgaff, am saving loads of money, had no problems at all and if I do start having problems with them I can leave whenever I want as I have no contract with them.0 -
Hi ridethelightning,
I agree. It wasn't that it was too much trouble to change, it was that we were with Vodafone Family where the kids and my parents got free calls to me and each other. Have spent some time this afternoon looking at alternatives and there are better and cheaper deals. I will be going in to the store tomorrow to cancel and will be delighted to do so.

So... I cancelled the upgrade at the store. At least they said so. They said my commitment was reversed and told me how to request my PAC code.
No sign of the £12.99 credit on my account that Heidi was supposed to be arranging yet.
Then today (coincidentally, I am sure) I get a call from Vodafone asking me if I want to know what "amazing" offers they can give me if I want to upgrade. Explained I was planning on calling them today to get my PAC code. 'Why?', said the "astonished" girl. Explained why, and said that there is nothing they can say to keep me with them now. They could give me a free iPhone 4 and free calls/texts/internet and I would still have trouble saying yes!
So she is going to look into it and call me back.
She hasnt yet (11pm)
No reply from Heidi or anyone else from the WRT yet either.
Getting so stressed now

Hi emmylou69,
Apologies, I have been out of the office until today and have just picked up your emails.
It seems that instead of doing the straight swap of handsets from the black iPhone to the white one (which your husband was authorised to do), they were cancelling the deal and placing a new order which would need your signature.
I am sorry to hear that this has caused further problems for you. I believe my colleague Simon has just been in touch to resolve this for you. If there is anything else I can do to help, please do get back in touch.
Best wishes,
Heidi
