Hi All, I was wondering if anybody has an HSBC contact phone number to follow up on PPI claims currently being processed?
I phoned the HSBC general enquiries number today for more information but was told that the department managing PPI claims have a written address only and no contact phone number at all (seems a bit odd to me!)
Many thanks!

The direct telephone number for the department dealing with PPI claims is 02380723838 (Regulated Sales Complaints). I've found them to be quite helpful and courteous. Its amazing how these banks can't even do simple calculations correctly..............0

Thanks thats great - I phoned them and they were very helpful - basically Ive been told that my claim is being upheld and details have been sent (via spreadsheet) to the FOS who will be in touch as soon as possible.
I know how swamped they are and Im sure it was a rather large spreadsheet so hopefully the wait wont be too long! I emailed my Adjudicator this morning too and with any luck she will help move things along.
Feels at last like there could be some light at the end of the tunnel after a year long process of waiting.

Just an update, I just rang hsbc regulated complaints dept. Their recorded message states that accepted ppi claims will be paid out with four weeks of acceptance of redress letter being received by them.
Lets hope so !

Not my experience!!!!
I hope you didn't send your acceptance letter via recorded mail?
(This thread is almost a year old, by the way.)0 -
Hi all.
I kno this thread is a few years old.
I came across it whilst looking for a way to contact hsbc regarding PPI pay out.
I contacted them the other day and I spoke to a gentle man who was foregin but spoke good English. Soon as I asked who to speak to regarding ppi he suddenly started talking so I couldn't understand him.
I was told the pay out would be in 10 days from when they received it on the 13th of Feb. When the gentle man from the PPI company checked on their system to find out when hsbc got the acceptance letter apparently hsbc hasn't declared when they received it so the date which they received it was a guesstimate. Although he believes it reached them by the 13th as it was sent straight to them.
Sorry for the rant but does that telephone number still work? Or have they disconnected it?
Many thanks0
