If you dont ask you dont get. My missus moans when i am in curry's or comet and ask for a discount
or freebies.
Asked for a free case for my digital camera, Young lad looked shocked & called the manager over, I said
go on you can give me a free case, He said he could but he was not going to lol.
Got one for half price. Similar to online prices but i got the items there and then and could check the fit
in the case.
I declined to buy memory cards though, Way too dear.
Looked at some carpets today, Guy was quite willing to throw strips in for free and that was without me
asking or telling him what carpet i was going to buy.
Deals are there if you ask. Free tea is nothing to them ask for some bikkies as well.
They want your money so see how far you can push them. Sadly once they have your money it can be hard work.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
Write to DFS head office at Doncaster say you have been miss-sold the sofas by the store staff, and the furniture is not suitable.Offer to pay a small modest usage fee.
I think you should be looking at electric recliner sofas/chairs if you have a bad back, you get such a range of back rake angles you might find the right level comfort suitable for you.0 -
I doubt many DFS staff would be suitably qualified to comment on whether a specific sofa would exacerbate your back condition.:A0

sounds to me like you need specilised furniture and expecting an off the shelf sofa to fit you needs was optomistic at best...as others have said, there is no legal obligation for them to be returned, its down to goodwill and what they will do you - the sofas are fit fo purpose, like others have said, they have to be fit to function as a sofa, which they do, its just uncomfortable for your personal circumstances.
I know alot of people with back problems, they all sit on the floor, its the most comfortable place for them - expecting a soft sofa to exceed that comfort, like I say was optomistic.0 -
