Fantasia, we haven't heard from you for a couple of days. Do hope you are OK. Remember we're here whether you need to let off steam or for advice.

Woo hoo SunFlower for getting CV done and making steps towards getting the best job.

I do hope hypno has been on the phone to the US president today. Increasing your credit limit to try to borrow your way out of debt (insert roll eyes smiley), hmmm.

It's been a busy day with loads crossed of the list although the 2 most important things still haven't been done.

    And to finish ...

Good grief, five pages in already and we're not even at the end of day one of the new thread.

It really is all go on here today.

There's been a fair bit of good news announced throughout the day - well done to all concerned.

Hoping Fantasia is doing okay and finding a little bit more strength each day to get herself through this awful situation. All the girls on the thread are strong 'uns, it sometimes just takes a little while to realise.

I have been psyching myself up for the Great August Declutter and being doing little bits and pieces this weekend to get myself prepared and in the mood.

Unfortunately last night saw my back pain and subsequent left leg pain arise again and I have had to to pop along to the doctors this morning for further advice on what else I can do.

Expecting a further referral maybe to physio or extra stretches or exercises or advice on amended duties at work, imagine how flippin surprise I was to received a sick note (can't remember what on earth they are now called) for 1 month, extra painkillers (which are now making me feel a tad nauseous and drowsy) and instructions to go for an xray.

So girls, I wont be needing to nip to the ladies to catch up with your posts for a little while yet but sadly I mightn't be able to fulfil the whole declutter challenge though I will be doing as much as I can.

I do plan on making the most of this time I have been given to achieve other things such as:
    - crack the mind mapping
    - make some clothes (using old clothes as a pattern)
    - catch up on all my reading
    - catch up on all my outstanding ebay items
    - learning more about taking better photographs
    - keeping my diary/TADAs up to date
    - not spending much money (although today was supposed to be a NSD or LSD I ended up spending £22!!! £15 of that was on two prescriptions grrrrrr)

So the 15 minute bursts are currently perfect for my back issues - 15 mins pottering followed by 15 mins resting until further notice.

Keep smiling ladies, it really does wonders!!

    Hello ladies

I've been following the last thread, (which continues to be a huge inspiration), but due to a relapse in my condition, (M.E), I haven't been posting. Things are slowly getting better, so I'd like to re-join, if you'll have me? :o

I started digital decluttering yesterday and deleted 580 items from my favourites .
    Hugs to Fantasia.
    Greenbee - great news
    MG - love the blog
Firewalker - good luck with minimalism. It's a subject I'm really interested in. I have some good websites and book details, pm me if you'd like them.

As promised peeps - here was todays Matrix Challenge

"How much do you respect your money?

Have you even considered that question? - well this first challenge will help you identify if you so - or if you don't!

    - so I need you to grab your purse or wallet

    - clear some space in front of you and lets get to work.

Lets open up your wallet and have a look inside. Is everything organised? in place? Can you see at a glance how much money you are actually carrying?

Or is it stuffed full of receipts, pieces of paper, plastic cards, library memberships, business cards and shopping lists?

Your wallet is where your money lives - and it deserves a less cluttered and better organised home, don't you think? If you respect your money are you demonstrating that by "holding it with respect"?

So empty out everything, draw a bin up close to you and start organising.

    - throw the receipts and ATM slips away (or if you TRULY do need them, store them somewhere for later) I have a plastic envelope in the side pocket of my handbag for all my receipts.

    - Line up all of your banknotes, smallest to largest and slip neatly back into your wallet.

    - sort through your change, remove the foreign coins and put back only those coins that you want to be carrying with you. (Everything below a 10p I put in a penny jar on my desk for Summer ice-creams etc)

    - arrange your bank cards. Do you really need to be carrying them all? I now only carry 1 debit card around with me. The high interest store cards and credit cards are stored in a drawer in my desk keeping me free from temptation. It also means the credit card is to hand when I really need it - for online purchases.

-Library cards? Do I really want to carry them all week when we visit the library at he same time every week? These have been decanted into a little card folder and stored in the family book bag (we read our books and return them to the bag so they don't go missing)

    - EHIC card? Now stored in the ravel wallet next to our passports.

    - Driving Licence - OK this stays, but I notice it will soon need renewed so have written a note on my calendar to remind me to pick up the renewal forms.

    - Blood Donor and Organ Donor cards - again these stay, then again I have an unusual blood group so I like to carry that information with me fore real emergencies.

The end result, a wallet that allows me to see clearly my cash financial position at a glance.

So today's challenge, should you choose to accept it ......................................... go clean out your wallet!!!!"

Hi ladies, day 1 of the big declutter for me! I took a carful of carp from the garage to the dump. Sadly it doesn't look like I actually achieved much, but the next load (already stacked to go) will make a big dent, hurray.
I love the idea of daily challenges, oooh hope MG posts today's soon as I'm trying to spend less time on here (MSE) in the evenings, if not I'll start tomorrow and just be a day behind. Hugs to Fantasia and all those who need them.
    MrsB.

ETA: Oops, cross posted with you MG, re challenge didn't mean to sound like I was chomping at the bit waiting iyswim:o.

    It's only a game
