When I renewed mine last year the DVLA were very helpful and sent me the forms about a month before the expiry date. Hope that saves you a job!0 -

Oceanspirit - I did have a quick word with Mr Obama.....told him that borrowing more money wasn't necessarily the best idea in the world, introduced him to the concept of snowballing, and advised him to start August by having a good old clearout of deadwood for ebay and garage sales.
As we speak, he is sorting out his wallet
my own personal declutter was successful, with DS's room now actually looking like a room and not a pit. Will he appreciate it? No, of course not! But I am glad that I have tackled it. A bag for the charity shop and rather more than that for the bin and a satisfying couple of hours work.Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. I can confirm this, my driving licence is up for renewal in August and I was sent my form a few weeks ago.
I did notice last night while I was buying my tax that you can renew your driving licence online providing you have updated your passport photo within the last 5 years :T
You give them your passport number and they get the photo for you which saves completing the form and also finding or having new photo's taken.
I will be doing this tomorrow when I find my passport and will let you all know how I got on.
Forgot to say cost is £20

Hope things are ok with the business - I am concerned that you need a lawyer.

Thanks for all the good wishes. I'm celebrating with an early night
(bathroom work recommences at just after 8am...)
Glad the decluttering is going well. As well as today's challenge I have also managed to rid myself of the contents of the bathroom, although the shed is full of replacement stuff and tomorrow the cabinet plus an AF delivery will be arriving.
We're also doing a kind of store cupboard challenge, attempting to eat from the freezer, which is bursting at the seams (although i have worked down from 3 freezers to one, and given the small chest freezer away to prevent overstocking in future...). However, we do have lots of fruit and veg too, as I'm under strict instructions to eat lots. Today was probably a bit under what I've been aiming for (7 veg, 3 fruit) but it is far more difficult when someone else is doing the cooking! Juice for breakfast, peppers in the scrambled egg, salad with lamb and cannellini beans at lunchtime, and celeriac and spinach soup followed by strawberries for supper... Not good... Probably 4 veg and 2 fruit. Tomorrow will be better!0
