Orange data charges
hi, can someone point me in the right direction of their pay monthly data charges once you exceed your bundle limit?
i found 1 page that stated i should receive a text telling me that i'm nearing my allowance of 750mb (iPhone Extra 35) but never got 1
i've only gone over a few £ as now but still got over a week to go in my month and like to keep updated with the cricket score,
wouldn't mind but the free wi-fi hotspot (according to the orange wi-fi finder) in my local wont connect and the new sky go app gobbles up the data!

Dial 150 from your handset and ask OCS,or check the pages on orange.co.uk, 'hammering' my phone during July I used 76mb, 150mb easily lasted the month on my wildfire and that was using the satnav software.0

I think it's £1/dayMobile Internet - Additional mobile internet browsing is chaged at £1/day. A daily flat rate of £1.00 per day applies for out of bundle data usage. This is subject to a daily fair usage allowance of 25MB, and a monthly download limit of 500MB. 25MB provides enough data for normal levels of email usage and browsing. However, for customers who are planning to download and stream data we would recommend that you take up one of our 500MB or 1GB data bundles. Please note, should you regularly exceed the 25MB daily fair usage allowance and as a result, you reach your 500MB limit before the end of the monthly period, [notice may be given and] network protection controls may be applied to your service. This may result in a reduced speed of transmission See Mobile Internet terms for details of prohibited activities. Other terms apply, see www.orange.co.uk/terms. What type of wifi spot is it?
The Cloud?
BT Openzone?
The app is daft, it only brings up either BT or The Cloud hotspots, but Orange customers don't get access to The Cloud for free, and some types of BT Hotspot aren't included either.Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.- Mark TwainArguing with idiots is like playing chess with a pigeon: no matter how good you are at chess, its just going to knock over the pieces and strut around like its victorious.0 -

It's the cloud one, my local does come up as available on the orange wi-fi app but never accepts the password.
I read a while ago that it's quite a common problem that orange wont fix.
I understand that certain hot spots are not available for free but why advertise it then?0 -
The Cloud can't be accessed with your free, inclusive internet on your tariff.
Neither can some BT Openzone ones (it's the BT FON ones I believe)
I agree totally that the Orange WIFI Finder shouldn't show them if you can't use it, I suppose they think it's more convenient to people to show any WIFI spot you could use, even though it's not like BT and The Cloud are the only ones it shows. Just pointless.Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.- Mark TwainArguing with idiots is like playing chess with a pigeon: no matter how good you are at chess, its just going to knock over the pieces and strut around like its victorious.0
