mmmmm. Well the joke answer is:
If the small hard thing is a cherry then you got what you asked for!
In all seriousness though how long is a piece of string? If it is something that caused damaged, could have caused damage then you can go the full hog and sue under Negligence i.e. Kippers didn't apply sufficient Duty of Care - I believe the origin of this comes from a Ginger Beer Bottle that had a snail in it? I'm sure someone will know.
A less drastic option is to send the offending product to either the retailer/manafacturer and you tend to get a standard response (Not as giving as they used to be) TESCO for example willl give you a Tenner!
Otherwise contact your local trading standards for more advice.0 -
Don't hold your breath (unless the cherry is that awful!). I complained via their website some months ago about another of their products -- nothing heard yet!0

I've moved your thread here as I think its more suitable in the Vent board.
Hope you don't mind,

no it wasnt hard as in a cherry stone but more very very chewy with a hard bit at the centre!0

catsonic, sometimes on a product box there is a little bit about 'If you are unhappy with our product...' and it gives a phone number and/or an address. If you still have the box (which hopefuly you do as that will have batch numbers etc on it) then have a look and try contacting them in writing if there is an address. This is harder for them to brush off than a phone call.
You've left me wondering what the heck the nasty chewy thing is now, unless it is meant to be there...?Sad because you don't know what to do? Comping question? Take a look in the Comping Guide to find out

The ginger beer case was Donaghue V Stevenson (not sure that is the correct spelling though).

bought some of these yesterday - dreading eating them now....do you think i should?
seriously though, always put complaints in writing to head office - i always received some kind of voucher when i do..........
will let you know how my pies are..........when i dare eat one.......0 -
Return the pies you have left and the packaging to the address on the box. At the very least you'll get your money back and the cost of postage, and you'll probably get a stack of freebies from them too.0
