Don't worry about the judge sending you to prison if you loose. Do worry about the judge sending round some big bailiffs to your house and taking your tv, computer and furniture.
£300 for day off work, legal expenses, court fees. You need to call the insurance company and discuss your options because they will all be cheaper and easier than the route that you are thinking about.- As everyone else has already said. Good luck though.

Really if this is genuine then you deserve to get everything coming to you.

Why did you take out insurance you don't need that cost 600 quid a year. Next we are going to find that the reason you don't need to insure your car is cos its a) written off or b) taken from you for some reason....

It will cost me 300 pounds just to take a day from work and drive 200 miles to the court and back!

If your income is that much you should be able to pay it off easily - and still have enough money to get lessons so that you can spell "prostitutes" - and maybe enough to employ one.
If you don't pay, stand by to lose your plasma TVs that you no doubt have in every room.

Failure to pay court costs and the bailiffs will be on your doorstep. I think court appointed ones have the
    power to force entry.

If you dont pay i think you will get a CCJ. And i dont think even bankruptcy will get rid of that.

Im sure others will clarify that. If your working they can apply for an attachment to your earnings.

Ok thanks your 'some' of your help. Well im not paying! if i lose i will tell the judge to send me to prison. Screw paying for something that i never wanted or used. It is easy for me to claim the 2 payments back as service not rendered and claim i cancelled the insurance but clearly the company still took the payments until i had to cancell them with my bank.

Then i get my money back and win? ? ?

And morals? well every man for himself, im sure the insurance company has more money than me. Or should i pay nearly 600 just so i can say im a good citizen?? naaaaaa thankyou, think how many prostertutes i can take advantage of with 600 :-)

I think the 'prostitutes' take advantage of sad individuals who have to pay for sex?

Timmy1986 - if someone drops soap in the shower, don't bend over to pick it up! You've asked for advice on what to do even though I think you'd already decided to go to court over it. As you've been told by people that know more about this than me - you'll lose. You don't need to sign anything. You could get away with a few small payments to get out of contract maybe if you phone the company and are reasonable with them, your choice...
