Where to buy girls jeans (not skinny, not jeggings)

I could really do with some help please.

I need to buy my DD some new jeans (size 7-8 or most likely 8-9yrs). I usually get her clothes from ASDA/tesco type places and I try not to spend a fortune on them. I want to buy some normal, bog-standard jeans- not jeggings, not skinny jeans - just normal jeans. I'm not looking for fashion. Also I can't seem to find normal t-shirts in the same size. I am not wanting clothes that make a pre-pubescent girl look like a Trollope! I can't seem to get any anywhere. I even tried next but they had only one style of "normal" jeans but not my DDs size.

Can anyone recommend where to look please?

Marks and Spencer do bootcut jeans which aren't tight or anything and ASDA smartprice ones are quite loose on the leg. Primark do t-shirts that are very cheap, they tend to be semi-fitted so you could buy a size up for a looser fit.

Have you looked at the Asda Smartprice jeans? They are £3 I think and they are a bog standard straight leg 5 pocket jean.

    Hope this helps x

DD has these (wearing them at the mo!) and they are great, not hugely bootcut but a nice fit.

Have you tried Animal, if you go online they have an outlet section and have t-shirts on there which are not tarty, do you have any outlet shopping near where you live as Gap and Fat Face are good for non tarty items, also Saltrock, surfy but a good price in the sale.

I can understand not wanting jeggings etc Although when i was a young girl i wore leggings with baggy tshirts and i certainly wasnt a trollop-y type girl lol!!!! Bootcut would surely be okay though - they look nicer than your average naff straight cut jean but are hardly tarty LOL! I have a boy so dont shop for girls clothes but i have seen normal tshirts (ie not fitted) for girls in primark and marks and spencers and tesco.

Does your daughter get any say at all in what she wears? Because i was dressed by my Mum until i was about 14years (ie had no choice really given to me in the buying or daily choice of clothes) and i was bullied for never being even mildly fashion orientated. Dont get me wrong, i hate seeing those little girls in boob tubes and mini skirts etc bleeeugh! BUT Next have very tasteful clothes for girls, as does Primark (albeit along with some naff stuff lol!)...... just a thought!

Verbaudet are pretty good for all things pre teen.

They do a value type range and often you will get 2 pairs in a pack sets.

My daughters wear the jeggins and skinny jeans, and fitted tops, although I get them from M and co, I don't think they look like trollops AT ALL!!!

I can understand the frustration at some of the childrens clothes ''these days'', especially girls, but not everything fashionable is tarty!

I find M&S, M and Co and BHS great for standard fit jeans with a slight bootcut, and most places do tshirts! Have you tried H&M they do lovely character t shirts and plain ones for quite a reasonale price!

i got some lovely ones in marks and spencers for my daughter. just as you have described. unfortunatly she hates jeans of any description so they are now on ebay.

but i highly recommend M&S for jeans they are really nice fits.

H&M have some nice girls jeans - they do skinny ones but also bootcut/wide leg ones.

I would like to add though that girls wearing skinny jeans or jeggins doesnt make them look like a trollope. What a bizarre idea which says more about you than it does about them.
