Advice please - currently going through a review, should I tell my employer I'm preg?

    Thing is though, my review has been in the offing for months now, meant to start in september, but it may not. Im going to need time off for maternity appts, which i do not have to use holiday or flexi for. If i dont tell them, then i will not have this option.

    Also, if my review doesnt start in september, i will be about 14 wks by then and will prob be starting to show.

    I work in the LA, so policies etc are quite tight.


    If you work for a local authority I'd imagine they will be quite good at pregnancy/maternity rights, public sector employers are supposed to set an example with things like discrimination laws. But I wouldn't let this review affect when you tell them. Tell them when you think the time is right. I think any time after your 12 week scan is good. Congrats btw!

    Thanks for the replies everyone. Its a restructure of the service btw, so what they have done in previous reviews is restructure the area then scrap the current jobs and everyone reapplies for the new jobs, there may be less or more jobs than before.
