Ive been away for a week and my mum has been staying at mine whilst ive been away. She has been watering every night and I told her she could harvest whatever was ready. Unfortunately she thought the courgettes were marrows so didnt pick any. They are now HUGE marrow sized courgettes lol. What can I do with them (about 10 in total approx 2 foot long and very very fat!)

Still useable if not too watery, or use as a marrow - scoop out a bit of the middle and fill with bolognese type mix and cover with grated cheese. Cook for about 15 mins (180C ish).

Well that's one down, nine to go - good luck! :D

10 marrows? These are called compost where I come from. Yes, try eating one but I guarantee you won't eat ten. Of course you could always go out at dead of night and leave them on your neighbours' doorsteps....

Stuffed marrow as suggested is lovely. A chutney or a jam is a good idea and can be used with poppadoms if lightly spiced with fennel, cardomon and chilli.

I love marrow mousakka as I cannot stand aubergines!

Marrow is best in my opinion steamed then served with lashings of butter and black pepper - yum, yum. Don't live near Bristol do you???
