Can I downgrade a mobile phone on contract?
Hi,
my daughter and I both have a phone on a vodafone contract and we are not using up even a fraction of the minutes/texts. I am sure I have read on the DFW forum that phones can be downgraded. Is this possible?
The reason why I ask is because I have recently phoned up vodafone and asked this question and they said that I couldn't.
My phone contract finishes in January next year and my daughters in June next year.
Many thanks for any help.
Regards
Jools

depends on the contract terms as it goes, easiest thing is to ring them up and ask (some stipulate not before 6 months)Ex forum ambassador

All YPL (Your Plan) contracts are non downgradable.
You will have made an agreement to pay a minimum amount each month for the duration of the contract.

Ok thanks for clarifying that for me.
I did have a quick look. I must have got the idea from when people were putting their SOA's on the DFW forum and obviously got the wrong end of the stick as I thought people were saying downgrade your mobile phone package.
Once again - thanks for your help and replies.
