'ello ello ello! What's going on with this weather malarky then? One min it' nice and sunny and next min it's like someone's turned the hosepip on.

Lotti - sorry to hear about your carp day, don't beat yourself up about the Nandos, sounds like you needed it. I was watching traffic cops (prog, not actually stalking traffic cops) last night - it was a really sad epidose where a lorry driver killed a 23yr old girl (totally crushed her car) by driving right into the back of her when she was in a queue to come off the m'way - all because he was playing with the cab phone. Apparently he didn't even see he'd hit her - he car was so badly damaged he thought he'd hit the car in front of her. Shame you couldn't tell that to the VW driver - and shame I couldn't tell that to the guy behind me on my way to work this morning merrily chatting on his phone  i felt no guilt about crawling along at 20pmh while he was behind me - ****!!!

Well, i have finally clocked up NSD #3 - deff off to a slow start this month, but perhaps not a bad thing as previously I've been out the starting blocks like trap 3 but struggling somewhat by the end of the month.

Am [STRIKE]planning[/STRIKE] trying to plan a shop in Mr T on Wed to maximise my coupons but have spent the evening working (so lovely to be back after a few days off *touch of sarcasm there*) so too tired to do that now. pah!

I have to say that despite their rain I'm rather jealous of those up in Edinburgh for the festival. I do love that city... and a good place to have a fab time without spending a penny at this time of year (although the temptations are numerous).

Not to rub it in ..... off to the Fringe with DM tomorrow :D. Used to go every year when I lived in town but have been a bit lax the last couple now it's not right on my doorstep (bit of a cheek when people come from all over the world and it's about 25 miles away!).

Fingers crossed the beeping rain stays away!

Not a NSD today and won't be tomorrow either - oh well, I'm on my hols!

Nargleblast - I can also think of better things to spend £200 on! I had to get a crown recently and it was £275 so huge sympathies from me!

Frodobaggins- glad your cat's on the mend.

  • Flippin flip I'm so scatty and behind! Just had to scan another 8 or so pages on here!

I hope everyone is ok. I'm getting a little scared watching these riots in London. I'm ooop north so ok but I have family down there (well near London but it's all same to us northerners!) and my brother moves down there tomorrow so I hope it gets sorted soon :(

I managed 5 NSDs (total 5 now lol) on my week away by putting my drinks money aside on the 1st ;)

Also when I checked my bank account, I only spent money on days when a Direct Debit came out so even better!!

Finances still looking desparate but I am trying to eat thru freezer things to save money! Lots of chilli con carne for me this month!

Thanks :D Cat seems a bit better in himself, been back to the vet today, she definitely thinks it's not an infection and it's more along the lines of heart trouble, but he is on low dose heart medication at the moment so if that can control it then it's hopeful. Will have to wait and see what the next x-ray shows on Wednesday. :)

Aww poor puss, so sorry it sounds more serious than just an infection, but fingers crossed the heart medication will work.

Ouch to your tooth Nargle & an even bigger ouch to the dentists bill!!

Lotti don't beat yourself up over the Nando's, it sounds like you deserved it!!!!

Well i'm feeling much more like my old self today, so decided to do something useful & sort out my house insurance. Managed to get it for nearly £15 month less than i'm paying now which is definitely :j but had to pay the deposit, so there went my NSD.

With that in mind, i decided to pop out for some groceries seeing as i felt well enough to brave the supermarket, & i blame Cheryl, ever since she mentioned that coconut & chocolate yoghurt i've just had to have some.
Very small shop in Mr A (mainly just milk & aforementioned yoghurt) & quite surprisingly some M*arks whoopsies (i can't resist popping into the one next door on the retail park, although usually have no luck with bargains) fresh scallops in chilli & lime down from £4.99 to £2.00, 2 hand cut lamb chops for £1 & a large punnet of big red juicy strawberries that look like they have loads of life in them also for £1 :j

Just been watching the news & shuddering at all the violence in London, how people can do that is beyond me
