large house, wife is a solicitor so not much time to do chores

Don't mean to sound rude, but your wife doesn't have time to do chores.

    What about you?

The average wage for a cleaner here is about £8-£10 per hour with cleaning materials supplied. So I would say that is about the right amount. Although you must be filthy to need a cleaner 12 hours per week!

You must live in a small house moo

We have a very large home, 3 teenage girls, multiple bathrooms etc.

It all needs a good clean.

You and the girls got spare time or are you too busy making the mess? ;)

If your wife doesn't have enough time to do her duties then you need to get a mistress.

Hmmmm, this is the 2nd post in a week you've made that basically boils down to bragging about how many rooms / bathrooms you have.

Your cleaner is being paid less than £10 per hr, how can this equate to being overpaid? If you think the work doesn't deserve that amount, why don't you do it yourself?

Not sure how £106.47 divides into 12 hrs, but in answer to your original question, I think she is paid marginally too little

Ooop here in the impoverished North from £8 if they are self employed, £12+ through an agency so I expect for 'darn sarf' you are under paying!
