Who cares, Posting to such a pointless thread and such a pointless person like your self isn't important.

Good luck to you, Hope you get your £10 back.

In the OP's defence he wasn't the person that sent this thread off topic. The main issue that people appear to have with him is that he is considerably more intelligent then some of the posters on here. Personally I have really enjoyed reading some of his responses to peoples comments. The pasttime debate was a particular highlight

25-04-2011, 9:10 AM - Unsafe Electrical Items being sold on Ebay
    The_Deep wrote: »
I recently bought a pair of speakers for my PC on Ebay. They have a two pin plug which a Trading Standards Officer has told me does not conform to E.U. safety regulations, He also thinks that the three pin adaptor supplied may be dangerous. The speakers have no CE mark. The pair I bought burnt out after two days, and are now with Trading Standards for evaluation.

I have warned the seller and eBay about this, yet the item is still being offered for sale. I am not allowed to post details of the seller, but I can say thast his T&C diminish one's statutory rights.

If case anyone is tempted to say that they were cheap, I would point out that Tesco and Asda sell kettles and irons for less, but they are unlikely to elctrocute one.

Is it not time eBay raised its game and put its house in order.

What know one understands is the issue is 3 months old now, And why post 3 months on and say your gonna do this and do that, When you could have done this 3 months ago.

The OP obviously has no intention of sueing the seller, or they would have done it by now, If there so intent in getting people done over as they make out.

To me the OP is attention seeking or something.

Maybe if you hadn't posted on it 11 times, it might have died off by now...

Did you not read my post? The title was called "Should I sue" I did not say I was going to sue, I asked if anyone on here had actually sued for a very small amount.

I could not have sued three months ago as Trading Standards only told me a few weeks ago that the goods were electrically unsafe.

I suggest that it is you who are the attention seeker Sir, a majority of your posts would have been otiose if you had properly read the thread.

Gordikin, congratulations, you have found a couple of typographical errors. Believe me, they are almost impossible to eliminate.

About twenty years ago I was in No 10 Downing Street conducting a Treaty signing ceremony during the visit of the President of India. There were five or six Treaties to be signed.

Now these treaties are checked, re-checked, and re-re checked by five or six people on either side before they are printed on the gold-edged vellum, (which cost about £3.00 per sheet) and rib-boned and sealed and bound into Red Morocco Leather folders. In theory therefore they should be one hundred percent error free.

We were half way through the ceremony and I glanced at the next treaty to be signed and there was this typo. The only thing I could do was to amend it in longhand, go to Douglas Hurd and the Indian Foreign Minister, explain to them what had happened, and get them both to initial both copies of the Treaty.

Anyway, well done. You have certainly put me in my place.

Oops, shouldn't there be a question mark at the end of that question?

    Not necessarily, it was rhetorical.
