Extortionate Ticket from Premier Parking Solutions

I wish I’d read all your advice sooner but have already corresponded with the company, I have logged onto this site to see if I have a leg to stand on but am unsure if I’ve shot myself in the foot, would appreciate any advice.
I used one of PPS’s car parks on the 16th July and purchased a ticket to cover the entire day, 8 people (travelling in a group in various cars) witnessed this and I have brief statements from 8 people stating they saw me purchase the ticket for the entire day and I still have the ticket. They are asking for £100.
I displayed the ticket but somehow it managed to slide down the dash so far that it was ‘apparently’ now out of view. The top of the ticket could be seen but non of the details on it. In an e mail response to the company I stated “On parking, and following the instructions on the ticket I placed the ticket on the dashboard, it appears the motion of shutting the door or a gust of air moved the ticket from its position to a position just out of view on the drivers side of the dashboard. Unfortunately I did not see the movement of the ticket and was unaware that my vehicle appeared to be in contravention of the parking rules and regulations, when I left the vehicle it was fully compliant with your rules and regulations.”
Have I shot myself in the foot and admitted that I was in the wrong by saying the ticket had moved?
Am I within my right to demand photographic evidence they may have taken?
Thanks in advance for any advice posted.

You purchased a ticket therefore the total damages the landowner can seek is nothing because they didn't suffer any damages. Ignore the pretty loo-paper the PPC will send.0

I have just paid £100 to get my car de clamped by Premier Parking Solutions in Exeter. I was in a dark car park with my son, was 20 mins late back to car. Have I any chance of getting my money back, I paid on a credit card?0

What a coincidence. I have just driven home from Exeter after having my car clamped by the same people and paying the same to have it removed which I really do think is a ridiculous amount. I wonder if it was the same car park.
I was back within my time, but it appears the wind had blown my ticket across the dashboard which I didn't notice (as was rushing to college!)
Sadly I think i'll just have to get over it as their appeal exceptions include what happened to me (and you by the sounds of it).
I'm sure someone can offer better advice to you though and perhaps for me too.
I'm still fuming over an hour and half later!Grocery challenge - Nov: £52/£100

You actually read about how to 'appeal' (LOL! as if!!) a private clamping and believed whatever they said? What I mean is - there is NO APPEAL. This is a private company, they are not going to just return anyone's money under ANY circumstances just because someone writes a letter.
You are giving these scammers far too much respect and an air of authority they do not possess. Clamping is a scam and you can normally find ways to convince a judge of that, if you have the fight in you to prepare a case and do a bit of work, send some letters, lodge a claim. It takes months but can be done.
The way to get your money back would be to take the clampers and whoever instructed/contracted them to be there, jointly to Small Claims Court.
Read some private clamping cases on pepipoo forums and if you are up for a Small Claim (costs you £30 - £40 which you can add to your claim) then start your own topic once you have read a few other similar ones:
http://forums.pepipoo.com/index.php?showforum=60
But whatever you do, don't just sue the clamping firm alone. You must include the organ-grinder, not just the monkey who will not pay even if you win in Court.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I know, I know, but I was still so wound up when I got home that I thought i'd have a look. Worth a try I suppose. I could get really anal and say that the signs only specify that 'a valid ticket must be displayed at all times' - it was displayed, just the wrong way round. Bloody wind
I've read about them numerous time and had I just received a ticket, I would have ignored it, but it was late, I was 30 minutes from home and I had the sodding clamp already on there. There wasn't a lot I could do.
You live and learn I suppose. I'm going to construct a ticket holder for my windscreen for future glue-less tickets. However, the other sign in the car park said something along the lines of 'the ticket must be displayed on the dashboard' so how would I stand in this instance if I stuck it in a holder on my windscreen?! (just to add; I won't be using that car park again, I would rather be late for college and walk several miles).
I won't be appealing, I really can't be bothered. There goes my Kindle fund.
Thanks for your reply
