    Version D03302a

Price is £257.33 incl VAT and delivery, which provides following spec:

    Celeron® D processor 330 (2.66GHz, 533FSB, 256k cache)
    Memory 512MB Dual Channel DDR333 (2x256MB) 4233 [370-11182] 3
    Monitor Dell E153FP 15" Value Flat Panel Monitor 6420 [480-12088] 5
    Hard Drive 80GB IDE (7,200rpm) Hard Drive 4640 [400-11216] 8
    Optical Devices 48x CD-ROM 5126 [429-10110] 16

+ usual windows xp home, kbd, etc.

This is a machine that is capable of running any normal office apps well, with plenty of ram and a smallish but usable TFT

Can upgrade the TFT for £49 + VAT to a 17" version, which may possibly be worth doing

Buy a third party DVD writer rather than paying Dell's extortionate extra cost
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

It was mentioned fleetingly at the start of this thread - but don't forget you can also get cashback on Dell purchases reducing the price a bit further.

Linemypocket seems to offer the highest cashback for Dell, at 1.75%.

    Hi
I am ordering a Dell DMUK4-D03302b. I noticed that when I went through from https://www.dell.co.uk/b2b then customizing the price that the cost of
    1. a data/fax modem was £15 and
    2. add 48X DVD/CDRW is £10

but when I go through Rpoints or Dell site not using b2b extension the same pc using the same code, the price for 1 above is: £17.63 and for 2 above is £11.75
Does anyone know any more about these price hikes? Why are the prices different going through b2b or not?
ummm..... ummm.....Damn! Can't think of anything remotely amusing, clever, witty or intelligent.

they are the exclusive of VAT (business site) and inclusive of VAT (home user site) prices

    i.e. £15 plus VAT is £17.63

I don't semm to be able to use the ebuyer site! I am trying to buy an SD card reader for this computer (i assume it has USB2?) Having chosen one and gone to look for other gadgets I can't get back to the checkout. Am I missing something here? How do you find what they have in stock? I just seem to be stumbling arround in the dark!

You shouldn't need anything extra, the router should just plug directly into the PC via an ethernet or USB cable (depending on your router, most can take either connection).
