Unfortunately I need to go to work so I've only read the first page of suggestions so please forgive me if this has been mentioned or is no longer relevant.....but I have a small idea for your extra work which would tie in well.

Quite a lot of the newer Internet services type businesses employ people on a work from home basis providing technical support etc. Usually the hours are very flexible as they would rather have the hours dotted through the day and night as it extends their opening hours. Could that be of any use to you?

    Good Luck

    Thanks for the suggestion!
Do you know of any companys currently offering such positions?
Its not something i can seem to find on the job sites.

    Thanks

Thanks, yeh, "when is a good deal not a good deal?" When Lloyds TSB are my Bank lol!

With regards to the car, that is the route i have gone down, i have decided to lease a VW Polo, after loads of bartering i managed to get an excellent deal on a mid spec car. (got it cheaper per month than the base spec one) pick the car up on the 20th and it is brand new, should be making its way across the UK at the min.

My ebay items are doing well, i am expecting to gain a little more in the next few days.

    Thanks Again

    Chris

    A wise move I tihnk :T

out of interest who did you lease it with, Id be interested for future reference - always good to know of moneysaving firms!

What have you done with your other car?
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast

Believe it or not i got it on a really good deal with VW themselves!

It started off at £179 a month for a 1.2ltr Polo S (Bottom spec eng and nearly bottom spec car)

By the time i had finished, i managed to get a 1.4ltr SE (spec underneath the sport model) with Metallic Paint, VW Mats and a full tank of petrol on delivery for £155 a month!! That was the best deal i could find anywhere.
I almost forgot, i also managed to get them to transfer my personal number plate to it as well! will will be ready for when i pick the car up.

Also, i am not 100% tied down, the contract is over 3 years, but there is no penalty / charge if i want to bring the car back after 1 or 2 years in exchange for a larger one.

Once my time is up on the car, i get a lump sum of around £1500 back off them which i can take in cash or put towards another car with them.

They took my Megane off my hands and took a small amount as a deposit against the polo. The rest of the money is to be given to me in the form of a cheque on the day i pick my car up.

It all sounded too good to be true to me!

Cant wait to pick up my new car!

Also, just to note, i have written a letter to Renault Customer Services about my problems with the car. It was discussed on an unofficial Renault Forum that other members had been in the same situation in the past. With some persuasion, Renault in fact paid out to them 50% + of there losses on the car. Also in another case, a member got a whole new engine and gear box 100% free of charge on a car that was over 4 years old.

I thought it would be worth the try, i have nothing to loose!

    Thanks Again

    Chris

Now that does sound an excellent deal. I will seriously consider leasing next time I need a new car!!
