Happy Birthday Anniestar :bdaycake:
It was payday yesterday so we went to the wholesalers and spent £233.71  I'm used to shopping weekly, so it was a shock to spend so much in one go. I have to keep reminding myself that most of the month's shopping is done, I'll only need to top up things like fruit and milk. Now if I could just find somewhere to store all the loo rolls (48 rolls for £4.80)
Patio-laying day today. I've got some eggs and veg ready as payment, along with 24 cans of strongbow
We finally have ripe tomatoes in the greenhouse. Well, four to be exact, lol.
I almost gave in and cleaned the hob yesterday morning, it was in a right state. But I resisted. When I walked into the kitchen at 7pm, it was sparkly cleanAll wet towels were hung up, there were no dirty dishes in the bedrooms. As they've made an effort, today I will clean the bathroom.

Well did ok with the healthy eating yesterday but did share a bottle of wine with DH and had a few nibbles but not too bad and both got very gigglyso back on track today. Have stuck to agreement to walk every day. Walked past the park and lots of people out with their dogs and families having picnics. Don't you just love the summer:j
Does anyone have an easy marinade for chicken breasts?? , doing fruity coleslaw and salad just thought I would jazz them up a bit as our friends are round tonight and if the sun keeps shining will sit in the garden.
Bacon and egg for breakfast and then the usual saturday morning clean up.
Have a good Saturday J xStarted Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.

OH had a bit of luck yesterday selling something to a mate, so he treated us to an Indian takeaway last night :T, so tonight we will have the meatballs from last night, which dd will cook.
DD wants to pop to tesco to get a pack of value t-shirts, she has bought herself some transfer page things from Ebay, and is going to make her own slogan T-shirts, should keep her busy
Need to have a good tidy/ hoover through but with 2 extra 'helpers' it wont take long, the grass needs doing too at some point.
NPM have a great time xxxx
Jackie G, I think you are doing so well helping your sis with the wedding, it all sounds so lovely xxx

Good Morning everyone and Happy Birthday to anniestar Ihope you have a smashing day honey and you get all you wish for.
I have developed a rotten cold and my voice is going up and down like a fiddlers elbow at the moment.Still I keep dosing myslef up and will kill the blighter if I can .Starting to run down some of the fresh food stocks from today so very little shopping at all over the next two weeks it will definitely be freezer roulette for me.I am going to sort out what tinned stuff we will take this afternoon and make a rough shopping list of bits to get when we get there. The boys are excited and all the buckets and spade have been dug out and washed thoroughly. I bought Ben his sea-fishing line yesterday and he was pleased as punch.Mikey's big beach spade had a hole in it for some reason so out came Granny's masking tape and its all sorted it will do this summer at least.Yesterday we went to the local Riverside Country Park and played french cricket. We managed to aquire about ten other little boys along the way and I felt like the pied piper:) My big shopping bag seems to have an unexhaustable supply of biscuits and bottles of orange squash.Mikey turned up with three little boys and airily told them 'don't worry Gran will give you a drink and a biscuit'I felt like I was feeding the five thousand at one point, but we managed .Next week when we go I have spotted that the blackberries are starting to come into season so I shall make sure we have several pairs of old gloves and some white plastic boxes with lids for a bit of foraging. My walking stick is brilliant for pulling the top juiciest ones down for picking.Right time to get the coffee perking then I need to pop down to the building society to deposit my Chrismas pound-a-day money before my holiday.
Hope everyone has a good day
take care all
JackieO xx
Re the banking I went over to see them and as expected was tried to be fobbed off with a very young minion (I have shoes older than him ):) so after politely telling him to go and find a grown-up he looked a bit uncertain, and off he went .2 minutes later appears would you belive the mangeress.Result one up to me.:) I haven't seen her since we moved to the bank in 1995.I think she could see how cross I was and ordered said minion to bring some coffee. In we went to her sanctum and for once I was treated as a customer should be It appears that the key sent to me by the bank was part of a faulty batch and with lots of 'I-am-very-sorry-for-your-inconvenience' and 'it-won't happen-again' and I-do-hope-you-continue-to-be-part-of-our-customer-service base' I drank my coffee, shook her hand, and toddled off satisfied that my point had been made and honor restored:) (I also told her about how I discussed various things on an internet website that seemed to have a bit of clout .She asked which one, and when told, blanched slightly, and said 'I see'
I love being an old woman as years ago I wouldn't have dreamt of complaining to anyone, but now I get only have to my rag up and I will do battle with anyone .Nice coffee by the way:):)Yesterday the bank tomorrow the World:D;):D:D

Happy Birthday Anniestar:bdaycake:
NPM - I hope you have a calm and restful holiday, I have a 12 yo son with Aspergers and although not as difficult and demanding as Autism we still have lots of challenging moments and have to stick to routine etc and combined with teenage hormones, well need I say
more, lol!
Jackie O - You go girl- I wish I had the confidence to complain when things are not right, I'm such a doormat and let myself get ripped off etc.
Well today will see me going through all my kitchen cupboards, pantry, freezers and fridge and making an inventory from which I will do a menu plan. I've set my grocery challenge budget for £150 this months which works out at £37.50 per week  I would really like to have some left in the money tin at the end of the month to put into my savings account.
When my hubster comes home we are going to start decorating my boys bedroom and playroom- they are going all white walls with graffiti stickers, black and grey bedlinen......... My hubbie is going to make an entertainment unit to hold the TV and PS in as well as storage either side for their junk... I mean stuff thats too important to be chucked away!!! So a busy, busy day for me.
Hope you all have a wonderful day

ANNIESTAR Happy Birthday, have a great day .
Have been really strict with myself and done a menu plan for the next 2 weeks, went shopping yesterday and spent £42 which is a big improvement. Mind you went out last night and spent a fortune in taxis, not very MSE but I had a great time and let my hair down so it was worth it.
DS is going to his Dad's in a mo so I shall crack on with the decorating.
Hope you have a good day all.

:hello: Morning All :hello:
Gone midday and still in pj'sI've mopped the kitchen, bathroom and bedroom (wood effect vinyl) floors, poop scooped, meal planned, made shopping list and done egg, beans and toast for brekkie. DD's are "tidying bedrooms" i.e. making lots of noise and probably more mess!! However, DD1 has just run down the stairs and told me to let her know when 60 mins is up because they're having a 60 minute make over
I'm watching a film snuggled up with blanket on settee - first day off in ages
This afternoon we're going shopping then blackberry picking to make a nice apple and blackberry crumble. Also going to tidy the top draw in my bedroom which is where everything seems to have been dumped and also empty and put away suitcase and bag.
Roast chicken dinner for tea tonight (hopefully if it's defrosted in time!!) and then apple and blackberry cumble for pudding :T
Hope everyone has a great weekendx
