Number plate not recognised by police??

Or maybe if it's a new car the V5 hasn't got to the DVLA yet. Sounds like his original car was seized and he has some rich, yet incredibly stupid, parents.0

He might have fallen foul of section 59 of the Police Reform Act 2002. This allows the police to deal with someone who is driving carelessly and is also causing or likely to cause alarm or distress or annoyance to members of the public.
Police can issue a warning which is then valid for 12 months. It applies to both the driver and the vehicle being used at the time. If this is repeated again by the driver or any other person driving the vehicle in such a manner within the next 12 months then the car can be seized."You should know not to believe everything in media & polls by now !"

I understand every parent wants to protect their children and see the good in them but I just do not get how they can witness the driving and think its ok. His dad drives like an @rse but not as bad as his son so guess it runs in the family.
The police witnessed the driver threaten my partner with our windows and faces being smashed in yet claimed they never heard!!
He has been witness by both a local MP/Councillor and our councils "area champion" who have both put reports in to the safer neighbourhood team and not much seems to be getting done.
Everything will be ok in the end, and if it isn't ok then it isn't the end0 -
Just keep on reporting his antics and hopefully action will be taken. Some kids are idiots when it comes to driving.0

Well I think you will find that I have infact helped a number of people on here as do most of the other posters, however I do object to someone who thinks its ok to sit behind a screen and slag me off, it didnt just apply to this thread.0

I'd be equally angry with the police's attitude. They seem just too lazy to do anything. If its not on their computer, why should they bother?
You also say that they witnessed threats but denied hearing them?
Accuse them of condoning this guy's behaviour by their indifference.
Its their job to deal with this kind of behaviour not yours. You've already done more than enough.
Why not write a formal complaint to the police regarding THEIR conduct in this matter? Imagine if, in a few weeks a serious incident happens and you then refer them to said letter!
Good luckYou have been reading.....another magnificent post by garethgas :beer:0 -
There is no such database. This will show up all vehicles that are registered to DVLAbut the reg number is needed to carry out a check on the PNC.
