    Emma,
I've just realised what the vet meant. 6 months is the best age to neuter males ie when bits have grown enough!! You can definately start the ball rolling with the jabs though.

    LOL
well i asked for both jabs and neuturing and vet said 6mths, tbh havent had a chance to think about ringing them again, have been busy, but my hubby has given the tray a good clean and kitten jumped straight in for a number 2!! LOL

i fished it out and freshened the litter so hopefully he will go in there again

    thanks for advice xxxxxxxxx
  • Hi there,

Talking of cat flaps - we have to tie ours in the "open" position as cannot get our cat to go through it herself!! Lazy so and so she is. It lets such a draft in that the kitchen is always freezing in winter. We used to have two cats and the elder one wasn't really capable of pushing through so we left it open mainly for her but now we she has departed to cat heaven I've tried from time to time untying the flap. Sammy can manage to come in through it but she refused to push her way out. This means I can't risk leaving it down as I just know I'd come back to a nasty surprise if she was unable to get out.

Does anyone have any training tips? I've tried getting down on all fours myself either side of the flap trying to coax her in and have tried physically picking up her paws to and pushing the flap to give the daft so and so an idea what she should be doing but to no avail!

    Thanks in advance.

    Regards,

Is she still kitteny in nature? A feather tied to a piece of string? That's what I did with ours and it was part of a game.
